Description
Join us for Andrea's Memorial Ceremony to be held in our Sacred Circle Medicine Garden. Our Ceremonial Leader will be Michael Vertolli.
Event Details
Michael Vertolli will lead us in a Ceremony honouring and celebrating Andrea's life. The Ceremony will start at 2 pm and will last as long as needed (up until 4:00 pm).
This will be followed by a potluck (please bring dishes that DO NOT need to be heated up).
We will have a social fire to celebrate Andrea's life and will share stories, drum, sing and dance if people feel so inclined; please bring your djembes, hand drums, rattles, guitars, other instruments and your voice!
Those who wish can camp in the yard overnight.
Some Logistical Information
Please arrive by 1:30 pm so we can be ready to start the ceremony right at 2:00 pm.
If you plan on camping overnight, you are welcome to come earlier to set up your tent.
We will have a huge tarp set up over the fire hearth in case of rain, and outdoor toilet set ups. Note that there will be no tarp over the Sacred Circle Medicine Garden where the actual Ceremony will take place, so having clothing and/or umbrellas for inclement weather would be a good idea.
Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing as we will be in the garden that Andrea loved so much.
What to bring:
food for potluck dinner after the Ceremony (Please DO NOT bring foods that need to be reheated)
your own beverages & snacks
your own plates, bowls, utensils and cups
your breakfast if you plan on camping overnight
a lawn chair
warm blankets for around the fire
natural bug spray in case the bug season has begun
musical instruments
stories to share about Andrea around the fire in the evening
a flashlight for moving about during the evening into the night
