Monday December 3 Workshop ("Plenty of Time to Do Your Christmas Shopping") by Cara D'Emanuele Studios
Event Details
Monday December 3, 2018 6:30 - 8:30 pm
"Plenty of Time to Do Your Christmas Shopping"
Kick off the holiday season with this workshop focused on the art of the audition callback featuring scenes, songs and monologues from musicals which may include Scrooge, The Musical, Elf, The Musical, A Christmas Carol, A Christmas Story, Striking 12, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Callbacks often require cold readings and sight reading music. What do you do when your scene partner is basically sleeping on stage? How do you handle a dialect you're not proficient in even if they ask you to "do your best"? What if you've been called in to be considered for the leading lady/man and they decide they want to read you for the character role? You can't let these things throw you. All you can do is be as prepared as possible and know that most the casting process is out of your control. Learn how to showcase your talents and then let it go!
